Description:
We continue to track the development and evolution of Tarzan through comic books. Beginning in the 70s, Tarzan is published by DC comics, rendered by Joe Kubert. Then Marvel and artist John Buscema take over. But by this point the popularity of Tarzan had already begun to dwindle, and he drops out of pop culture for about a decade, until there is an attempted revival by Malibu Comics. Finally, in the 90s, Dark Horse was granted the rights- which they still hold today. DH has not only created new and interesting stories about Tarzan but embarked on a huge project to reprint those many comics from days and artists' past.
